In UKOM's quarterly report of digital audience trends, June 2016 saw nearly 50 million users in the UK access the internet, with 35.2m of those via a smart phone or tablet. The same quarter also saw mobile devices overtaking desktop users for share of digital minutes, with 46% of adults choosing to use a smart phone instead.
Of the most visited properties, the top 4 - Google, Microsoft, Facebook and the BBC sites, have a combined online reach of over 75%, with Google at no.1 and over 93% of internet users visiting one it’s properties.
