Why do foot switches have 2 outlets for cable routing?

These are two Pg 16 threaded cable gland entries at the back of the foot switch. There is no functional necessity to use both but the availability of two cable entries gives the installer the flexability to use two cable glands if required. e.g. where two different diameter cables are needed to be used, then two suitably sized can be glands could be used whilst retaining the Ingress integrity of the foot switch.
