What is the recommended interval between tests for an RCBO?

The recommended period for a routine check is every 3 months (quarterly), this is a check for the condition of the device e.g. breakages, overheating, missing parts, etc. & the operation of the device e.g. on/off switch, test button function. These checks can be carried out by . somebody who can safely use the installation and recognise faults. The maximum period for inspection & testing as necessary is 5 years. For further information I would recommend contacting the IEE who will be able to clarify this.
