Which networks are managed by an LUFP?

The LUFP* module is a communication gateway which enables only Modbus devices to communicate with other networks.

Modbus is a communication protocol standard developed over several decades. It is still very widely used by global control system component manufacturers.

Modbus is therefore native on the following equipment:

TeSys U starter-controller
Altistart 48 starter
Altivar 31 and Altivar 312 drive
and the following gateways enable this equipment to access Fipio, Profibus DP and DeviceNet:

LUFP1: Fipio/Modbus gateway
LUFP7: Profibus DP/Modbus gateway
LUFP9: DeviceNet/Modbus gateway
