Traditionally, the major elements of a substation are purchased from different suppliers. The customer then has to bear the cost of connecting the components together and the possible risk of damage during assembly. The Metalclad Distribution Substation eliminates this cost and risk as it is assembled before being delivered to site. An all-in-one solution, incorporating:
- A distribution transformer (ratings are available from 200kVA to 1500kVA)
- Either free breathing or hermetically sealed transformer
- A choice of dielectric fluids (mineral oil or Midel 7131 fluid)
- Ringmaster range switchgear
- RMU, circuit breaker or switch disconnector
- Up to seven LV fuseways or ACB/MCCB options
- An integral stainless steel enclosure, powder-coated in a wide choice of colours
- Easy installation with full access to all components
