Power quality correction group

Merlin Gerin power quality can provide the correct power factor solution to reduce kVA demand to lower your power bills. Whether you require standard power factor correction for networks with a high or low harmonic generating load; off load transformers and an increase in system capacity.

Our engineers cover the country providing on-site technical service and design. Each engineer is equipped with the latest technology for monitoring your network power quality.

Power Quality Correction

There are a number of solutions available to provide a reduction in harmonic distrotion levels. The optimum solution depends upon the perticular network and a cost benefit analysis of the solution.

With the advent of digital signal processing and IGBT technology, active filters become accessible as the most cost effective harmonic filtering solution on the market.

Passive filters differ from active filters in that they employ passive elements (capacitiors and reactors) to absorb hoarmonics, rather than active elements to cancel harmonics.

Hybrid filters combine the best attributes of both active and passive filters. By combining those two elements within one enclosure, thye provide benedfits over either element alone

Our services include...
