Stephen Brook
Chartered Engineer, Eur Ing, BSc, MIET
Stephen leads our power engineering team. His role requires him to manage client relationships throughout the life of the project and is responsible for the delivery and quality of our power consultancy solutions including electrical protection studies, energy audits, harmonic monitoring and analysis, installation audits and network design.
A highly experienced engineer, Stephen has wide experience of transformer electrical, mechanical and thermal design and is a recognised expert in package substations and liquid filled and cast resin fire resistant transformers. Prior to his current role Stephen was the Engineering & Quality Manager with Schneider Electric’s transformer division. His skill set gives him a unique perspective in an environment where suppliers are increasingly judged on their ability to manufacture, deliver, install and commission in accordance with very tight timescales.
Notable projects have included:
- Working with France Transfo on the development of the cast resin transformer
- Project Manager for the installation of large transformers in difficult locations in the London area
Stephen regularly lectures at seminars on aspects of transformer and substation design including seismic qualification of electrical equipment. Stephen has been a member of several BS and IEC committees and working groups.
