Schneider Electric has a long and rich heritage of Automation Controllers from Modicon, Square D, Telemecanique and Merlin Gerin, dating back more than thirty years to the invention of the worlds first Programmable Logic Controller by Modicon. We have an enviable reputation for providing service, support and migration paths for PLC product long after removal from active sale.

Today, the powerful Modicon Quantum series of controllers deliver the flexibility to drive 200 series I/O developed almost thirty years ago. As well as supporting the 500 series I/O and the 800 series I/O developed for the Modicon 984 PLCs, the Modicon Quantum will also support Square D Sy/Max I/O systems. We have recently introduced the capability for the latest generation of Modicon Premium controllers to interface with Telemecanique TSX Series7 I/O systems.
