What are the risks for the operator in event of SF6 gas leakage on an RM6 cubicle?

If a leak occurs on an RM6 cubicle, almost all of the SF6 gas is replaced by air. Internal electric arcing may occur. In such a case the operator is in no danger. The RM6 is designed to withstand an internal arc in accordance with appendix AA of standard IEC 60298. A safety valve releases hot gases towards the bottom of the unit.
