HVAC systems
|
|
With climate change and rising energy prices becoming increasingly hot topics, many businesses are seeking methods to reduce their energy consumption, driven by both a growing sense of corporate responsibility and the need to cut operating costs and stay competitive. Accurate, efficient control and monitoring of heating, ventilation and air conditioning can play an important part.
|
|
Such control can be achieved with Schneider Electric, which offers a wide range of products for HVAC manufacturers and panel builders, such as
Motorpact
and
Sepam
respectively, along with complete
building management systems
,
With Schneider Electric’s
Transparent Building
offer, HVAC systems can be controlled with an Ethernet network. No PC is required, since control comes from field devices embedded with web-serving capabilities. Alternatively, heating and ventilation can be controlled using a dedicated web page, allowing shop floor control with the use of a touchscreen
HMI
or complete control from a remote PC via the Internet.
The Transparent Building offer enables HVAC systems to be accurately controlled and monitored and even adjusted for seasonal variations, resulting in significant energy savings. For example, since the system was installed at Schneider Electric’s own warehouse in Telford, a reduction of energy consumption of around 15-20% has been forecast.
