Packaging & conveying systems
|
|
Packaging machinery OEMs face increasing pressure to reduce development time and costs associated with the design, build and manufacture of machines. Schneider Electric’s experience in developing packaging solutions makes the company an ideal partner for machine builds for a wide range of packaging requirements.

Through the brands Square D and Telemecanique, Schneider Electric offers an extensive range of industrial control components, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives, detection components, interface terminals and communications software, all of which are ideal for control of packaging lines.
Coupled together they can provide a control system that is easy to install and commission. Consequently, Schneider Electric’s products have been incorporated into packaging applications such as boxing machines, form, fill and closing machines, labelling machines and palletising machines.
With an increasing use of transparent containers, Schneider Electric’s Telemecanique-branded Osiris XUM range of photoelectric sensors are increasingly becoming a packaging industry standard. Using an infra-red beam, with a wavelength matched to the maximum absorption frequency of water molecules, they are unique in their ability to check levels of aqueous liquids, along with other water-containing products, including ice cream and adhesives.
