Metalclad distribution substations
Traditionally, the major elements of a substation are purchased from different suppliers. The transformer from one supplier, switchgear and ancillary electrical items from another supplier and an enclosure purchased from yet another.
The customer then has to bear the cost of connecting the components together and the possible risk of damage during assembly.
