XUSL Light Curtains

Many applications do not lend themselves to using fixed guards or opening gates to protect operators. For example, if frequent operation to a process is required, large heavy gates may cause fatigue or repetitive strain injuries to the operator. Furthermore, some areas are just too large to guard with mechanical means.
XUSL light curtains can provide suitable guarding for such applications, utilising an array of photoelectric beams monitored by fail safe circuitry.
The XUSL range offers a choice of devices to suit your needs:

- Type 4 barriers for high risk applications in two body sizes – Compact and Slim
- Type 4 resolutions of 14mm (finger) and 30mm (hand detection), as well a multibeam systems for perimeter access
- Light curtains with protected heights from 150mm to 2095mm, and with scanning ranges of up to 20m, and even 70m for perimeter access.
- Type 2 devices with 30mm resolution (hand detection) and a range of 15m
- A wide range of accessories to aid and improve your installation including pre-wired connection cables in various lengths, IP67 housing for wash-down environments, Lexan protective covers for welding or abrasive environments, floor mounted brackets, and muting controllers

Simplicity – a patented LED system shows instantly which beams are blocked or out of alignment, aiding installation and maintenance
Intelligent – many built in functions such as blanking and floating blanking , EDM monitoring and start interlocking allows the light curtains to be completely stand alone in most applications, with no need to control them via a PLC, separate controller or using manual intervention.
Compact – the Compact model of Type 4 devices has a cross section of only 35 x 50 mm, whilst the Slim has an cross section of 26 x 30mm, ideal for small machinery or where it is advantageous to hide the light curtains away from operator view
