Safety processing with Preventa safety solutions
The processing of safety signals is essential to ensure correct functioning of your safety system. Safety processing components from the Telemecanique Preventa family provides you with a simple, cost effective and scalable solution, offering three main functions.
|
|
- Monitoring of safety related inputs, from emergency stop buttons to light curtains
- Checking the integrity of the associated wiring for short circuits, open circuits or tampering of the circuitry
- Monitoring the function of the final switching devices, usually contactors, to ensure motors, pumps or other source of power can be safely isolated upon a demand for an emergency stop
|
| Our wide range of models and technologies means that you can choose the right device for your application – from simple monitoring of emergency stops, to application specific modules designed to help you meet the needs of specific safety standards, and even complex safety controllers handling a number of individual safety functions simultaneously. |
XPS safety modules |
Safety modules provide the simplest solution for the processing of safety signals. A wide range of single function devices for device monitoring, complemented with application specific modules ensures most simple safety functions can be designed utilising modules from the Preventa range

| Benefits include: |
Simplicity and Flexibility –
A wide range of modules for cat 2,3 & 4 control       circuits as per EN 954-1 / EN13849-1 |
- Universal monitoring relays for emergency stop buttons, safety interlock switches, light guards and footmats
- Dedicated modules for safety functions such as two hand control or enabling switch control.
- Application specific modules for mechanical and hydraulic presses, lifts, or injection moulding machines
|
| Compactness – from only 22.5mm wide and din rail mountable, control panel space requirements are minimised. |
| |
| Intelligent – diagnostics are available on most modules through auxiliary outputs. |
