The processing of safety signals is essential to ensure correct functioning of your safety system. Safety processing devices from the Telemecanique Preventa family provides you with a simple, cost effective and scalable solution, offering three main functions.

- Monitoring of safety related inputs, from emergency stop buttons to light curtains
- Checking the integrity of the associated wiring for short circuits, open circuits or tampering of the circuitry

- Monitoring the function of the final switching devices, usually contactors, to ensure motors, pumps or other source of power can be safely isolated upon a demand for an emergency stop

The XPSMC safety controller provides simultaneous monitoring for either 16 or 32 safety inputs, with 10 safety outputs to safely stop a number of separate circuits.

There's no need for you to write and test your own function blocks making your configuration simple and based upon the needs of your safety function, rather than your coding skills. Password protection of all configurations ensures that changes are restricted to authorised personnel. |

| Open & Intelligent – full diagnostic outputs are available, either using LEDs on the front face of the XPSMC, or via a variety of communication protocols to link directly to your PLC, HMI, PC or SCADA system. The XPSMC range supports communications over Modbus, Profibus and CanOpen, to provide operators realtime data on the status of the safety system and all it’s I/O devices. |
